$1,000 - $2,000 for

GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
Application Deadline:  March 14, 2008

 
Eligibility:  Be a graduating High School Senior Planning to Attend College
  Have at least a 3.0 G.P.A.
  Be an El Paso County, Colorado Resident from a Participating School District
 
How to Apply:  Write an essay on “How Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Impacted Your Life” and Submit a Completed Scholarship Application Packet

Scholarship Application Information

This annual scholarship is provided by the El Paso County Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Committee. This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students from our Participating School Districts who plan to attend a community college or four-year college or university. Based on available resources, scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $2,000 will be allocated to students, based on criteria described in the application. The applicant's academic work, extra-curricular activities, community service and response to the MLK essay are all considered. The number of scholarships awarded depends on the resources available to the committee.
